Effectiveness starts at the base. Our cream base is made from pure phosphatidylcholine, a fundamental component of every cell membrane in the body. This makes it the perfect carrier for our vitamins and active ingredients. Additionally, it helps strengthen the skin barrier and supports skin renewal.
Squalane helps improve skin hydration and is a natural component of the skin’s lipid barrier, making up 15% of it. It leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth without any greasy residue. We use COSMOS and USDA Organic-certified squalane, sustainably derived from sugarcane.
Macadamia nut oil is perfect for dry skin. It’s naturally rich in palmitoleic and oleic acids—two fatty acids that deeply nourish and leave your skin feeling luxuriously smooth. Our macadamia oil is, of course, cold-pressed and certified organic.
Betaine is an amino acid derivative. We use this natural ingredient as an additional source of hydration.
Ethyl Ascorbic Acid is a specialized form of Vitamin C. It is particularly effective because it does not need to be converted into pure ascorbic acid within the skin. This form is also very stable in creams, allowing it to deliver long-lasting and well-tolerated results. Vitamin C supports collagen synthesis, promoting firm skin. Studies have shown that Ethyl Ascorbic Acid can even help reduce the appearance of age spots.
Linoleic acid is an unsaturated omega-6 fatty acid naturally present in our skin. As a component of ceramides, it contributes to healthy, radiant skin. Linoleic acid provides intense hydration and is part of the skin’s natural moisturizing system—the “Natural Moisturizing Factor” (NMF). Additionally, it is known for its strong anti-inflammatory properties.
Panthenol, also known as Provitamin B5, is widely recognized as an active ingredient in wound-healing ointments—and for good reason. Panthenol stimulates cell renewal, promoting the skin’s natural regeneration process. But that’s not all: it also helps deeply hydrate the skin, making it a must-have ingredient in any moisturizer.
Resveratrol is often referred to as the longevity molecule, and its effectiveness has been demonstrated in numerous studies. It protects against free radicals, stimulates collagen production, and helps shield the skin from UV-induced damage.
Retinyl Palmitate is the fat-soluble form of retinol, known for its excellent tolerability. It promotes collagen production, helping to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Additionally, it supports the formation of keratinocytes, resulting in visibly smoother skin.
Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG) is the active compound in green tea. Catechins are polyphenols that belong to the group of secondary plant metabolites. Their most important property is their antioxidant potential. EGCG neutralizes free radicals and has anti-inflammatory effects. For optimal efficacy, our EGCG is encapsulated. Tiny carrier particles ensure that this active ingredient penetrates deeply into the skin for maximum effect.
Ceramide BP is an innovative form of modified ceramides. They are composed of branched fatty acids, primarily found in the vernix caseosa, the protective layer covering a newborn’s skin. This unique layer shields the infant’s skin from dehydration and bacterial infections. This ceramide derives its name from the branched fatty acid it contains:
isostearoyl
, which originates from
isostearic acid
. In all ceramides, the fatty acid is linked to a phytosphingosine molecule via an amide bond.
Our bodies are primarily composed of water, with the remainder consisting of cells. Sphingosines are essential components of these cells, playing a key role in building the skin barrier and fighting inflammation. From the sphingosines we use, all types of ceramides—fundamental elements of the skin—can be formed. This helps the skin retain optimal hydration and maintain a healthy glow. We use specialized plant-based sphingosines that work particularly well in creams.
