How It All Began

Pharmacist Hartmut Beyer (left) with his team in 1984. Five years after this photo was taken, Hartmut Beyer started developing his own cream. After noticing the first wrinkles on his face, he set out to create a formula that truly works.⁣

The first version of today’s Hautcreme+ was called “Anti-Aging Concentrate.” Even back then, it included many active ingredients that are still considered some of the most effective today: Vitamin A, C, E, panthenol, Q10, squalane, and ceramides.

Hartmut Beyer
A researcher, a passionate pharmacist, a creative developer—truly a rare breed that one might think had vanished in the era of online pharmacies. At over 80 years old, our father is almost like a living fossil—resilient and enduring, much like a coelacanth or ginkgo tree. For 40 years, he ran his own pharmacy, captivating customers across Germany with his formulations. He always developed products for the family first and tested everything on himself. Seems to have worked out pretty well for him, wouldn’t you agree?
Nico Beyer
Even as a child, Nico was fascinated by all things technical. At the age of eleven, he “learned” his first programming language—though Nico doesn’t really learn in the traditional sense; he dives deeply into topics out of pure curiosity. His studies within the Elite Network of Bavaria were more like a walk in the park (or perhaps a hop on a beer bench). After simplifying life for countless companies as an IT consultant, he now enjoys working with his own systems and focuses on the more interesting things in life—like skincare, for example!
Robby Beyer
Robby is a marketing and product expert—responsible for everything that’s visible and reaches the public. As a true ingredient enthusiast, he passionately and clearly explains our products on social media. He’s always been fascinated by innovative products, which led him to work at Apple in Paris and London. Today, he ensures that our INCI lists sound just as compelling as the technical specs of the latest iPhone.
